One of the things I love most about the jewelry creation process is how vast it is: so many possible styles, combinations, colors, tools to use and, mainly, tecnhiques available. The one I mostly work with is wax carving, one that allows you to bring to life three-dimensional figures in a way that 2-D hardly can.
My wax handmade pieces -by substracting and/or adding the material- are later cast in brass, which is afterwards gold-plated, and sterling silver. Later on, in another post, I'll tell you more about lost wax casting.
When the pieces return to the workshop in their metal version, my team and I finish them by sawing, filing, welding and polishing them. That's how we create the jewels I sell at my shop in Buenos Aires and my website, right here, where you are :)
